Thursday Evening
Thursday Evening is perfect for those seeking a truly grand concert experience. Here, you will enjoy larger orchestral works such as symphonies and solo concerts with guest conductors, instrumentalists, and singers of the highest caliber at Berwaldhallen.
The evening concerts are about two hours long with an intermission, and start at 7:00 PM. In the 2025/2026 season, you will, among other things, experience the world-renowned pianist Yuja Wang in not one, but two piano concerts on the same evening together with honorary conductor and Artist in Residence Esa-Pekka Salonen, the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra in two of Beethoven’s symphonies with conductor Nathalie Stutzmann, and Lisa Bathiashvili in Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto. Additionally, concerts with violinist and Artist in Residence Janine Jansen, Sir Antonio Pappano, and principal guest conductor Maxim Emelyanychev are included.
The popular Christmas concert at Berwaldhallen is also included in the Thursday Evening series Medium and Large!
