Pictures at an Exhibition

Conductor Roberto González-Monjas makes his debut in Berwaldhallen with a delectable selection of orchestral works: Modest Mussorgsky’s beloved suite Pictures at an Exhibition originally written for piano, but here arranged for orchestra by Maurice Ravel. Basque folk music and U.S. jazz inspired Ravel in tonight’s piano concert performed by Lucas Debargue. And in addition, Anders Hillborg’s captivating and dramatic Eleven Gates.
