Visit with children

Can I bring children to performances in Berwaldhallen?

Of course, children are welcome! Since many of our concerts are broadcast live or recorded for radio, we recommend that children who attend can sit still for 1–2 hours without being disturbed by loud noises, or talking out loud. When your child is ready, it is a wonderful experience to share a concert together in Berwaldhallen!

For the younger ones, we offer child-friendly concerts and performances, such as our popular sing-alongs, which are perfect for the whole family. Please note that children's performances are in Swedish.

Do you have a bag ban?

No, but backpacks, bags and purses larger than 30 x 20 cm (approx. an A4 sheet), as well as larger outerwear are not allowed into the salon. You can leave them in a staffed cloakroom for a fee of 30 SEK, or hang them for free in an unstaffed cloakroom.

Is there a changing table?

Yes, there are changing tables in the restrooms on all floors.

Where can I park the stroller?

Our foyer is spacious and you can park your stroller there. Our friendly hosts will show you where when you arrive.

Can I bring my own food?

Food and drinks are prohibited in the concert hall. We also ask that you do not consume any food or drinks brought into the Berwaldhallen premises, including the foyers. Exceptions are made for baby food, fruit, simple snacks that you may need for medical reasons during your visit, and plain water.

Café Berwald opens two hours before the performance starts, and is also open during any intermission. A child-friendly menu is served there in connection with our children's performances.

What happens if we are late?

Sometimes things don't go as planned. However, if you arrive late to a performance, it's not always certain that you'll be allowed into the hall right away, as it can disturb the other audience members. Please do your best to arrive in with good time marginals, so that you can go through the security and ticket control, relax, maybe eat or drink something tasty, use the restroom, find your seats, and so on.
