Fauré’s Requiem

Gabriel Fauré's beloved Requiem, known for its calm and peaceful character unlike other requiems, performed by the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Swedish Radio Choir under the direction of Fredrik Burstedt. The concert begins with a performance of Austrian Olga Neuwirth's Tombeau II Hommage a Pierre Boulez, followed by the Swedish turn-of-the-century composer Helena Munktell's Suite for Large Orchestra 'Suite Symphonique' in four movements.
