Christmas Concert 2020

What would Christmas be without music? In a year when many of us are forced to spend the holidays without the company of friends and family, music can still be a heartwarming, comforting companion. Forget about stress and worries for a while in this programme featuring classic Advent and Christmas songs with members of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Swedish Radio Choir and conductor Olof Boman.

Take part of Berwaldhallen’s December concerts on Swedish Radio P2 and Berwaldhallen Play. Due to the stricter restrictions in the Stockholm region, the concerts are played without an audience.

    The Czech Philharmonic visits the Baltic Sea Festival! Under its legendary Chief Conductor and Music Director Semyon Bychkov, Karen Gomyo, who due to illness is replacing Janine Jansen, performs Shostakovich’s first violin concerto, followed by Dvořák’s dramatic seventh symphony.

    Dreams of freedom

    The Czech Philharmonic returns under Chief Conductor and Music Director Semyon Bychkov, joined by internationally acclaimed pianist Yunchan Lim in his Swedish debut. Ravel’s Piano Concerto dazzles with jazzy, dreamlike colours, followed by Smetana’s Má Vlast, a majestic journey through Bohemia’s landscapes and spirit.
