Swedish Radio Choir: Sandström in Memoriam

Sven-David Sandström would have been eighty years old on 30 October 2022. In this tribute to the composer, the Swedish Radio Choir interprets his Sonnets of Darkness and Love – with texts borrowed from the Song of Songs, Shakespeare, Lorca and Nietzsche – together with the star trombonist and vocalist Nils Landgren. We will also be hearing the choir in a work by the winner of the Sven-David Sandström Choral Composition Awards, Matthew Peterson. Here performed for the first time. The concert is conducted by principal conductor Kaspar Putniņš.
