Malin Byström sings Strauss

This season's Artist in Residence, Malin Byström, is the soloist when the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and conductor Philippe Jordan invite you to an evening in the grand romantic format. The concert opens with Richard Wagner's glowing overture from Rienzi, continues with Richard Strauss's Drei Hymnen von Friedrich Hölderlin – songs charged with both sonorous splendour and sincerity – and concludes after the intermission with Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4, a dramatic struggle between darkness and triumph.
