40 Years of Music: W. A. Mozart Symphony No. 40
American author of children’s books, Maurice Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are was filmed in 2009. However, as early as 1979, Oliver Knussen composed an opera with a libretto written by Maurice Sendak himself. A few years later, another collaboration with Sendak followed, and Knussen’s two children’s operas have become part of his most famous works. In celebration of Berwaldhallen’s 40th anniversary, the 40-year-old conductor Ryan Wigglesworth performs Mozart’s Symphony No. 40.
