The American choir The Crossing, conducted by Donald Nally, and the Finnish Klockriketeatern will appear in Robert Maggio’s choral-theatre work Aniara – Fragments of Time and Space, based on Harry Martinsson’s highly topical space epic from 1956. The evening’s concert is preceded by Vrak – Museum of Wrecks and a talk by the archaeologist Björn Nilsson, one of the Nordic countries’ foremost expert on maritime Stone Age remains. His special field is the cultural history of humans in relation to the sea. Nilsson’s description of nature, the past and human history is inspired by the poetry of Harry Martinson.
