The Icelandic pianist Víkingur Ólafsson is back in Berwaldhallen, this time with a solo recital featuring music by Mozart and his now less famous contemporaries Baldassare Galuppi, Domenico Cimarosa and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. The music features on the solo album Mozart & Contemporaries of which Ólafsson has said, “Discovering this music really cleansed my mind. It was a bit like having ginger when eating sushi.”
The concert will be broadcasted on Swedish Radio P2 on September 1 at 19.03.
